About me

I am an ecologist based in Australia and my research interests are principally related to using theoretical and empirical ecology to  facilitate better natural resource management outcomes. As evident from the URL, much of my research has focused on plant-herbivore interactions, but my interests in science are quite broad.

My research and educational philosophy:

To engage in open and critical dialogue though the use of the scientific method, whilst simultaneously acknowledging science as just one way of perceiving the world.

This website presents a summary of my research career, and is my attempt to capture my intellectual meanderings to date.

My academic qualifications:
Ph.D., Ecology/Entomology, Griffith University, 2002
M.Sc., Environmental Management, Griffith University, 1998
B.Sc., Zoology, University of Madras, 1996
Grad. Cert. in Environmental Statistics, University of Canberra, 2005
